Declaration on accessibility
The technical requirements for accessibility result from: BITV 2.0 and the Disability Equality Act (BGG)
ATEMAG endeavours to make its website accessible in accordance with the national legislation implementing Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council.
This declaration on accessibility applies to the ATEMAG website (as of 20 March 2025).
Status of compatibility with the requirements
The ATEMAG website is partially compatible with the requirements of BITV 2.0 and the BGG.
The barrier-free web design of the ATEMAG website is realised through the following points:
1) Scaling the font and view
Visitors can easily and quickly change the display sizes on all pages using the browser tools. To do this, use the key combination ‘Ctrl’ and ‘+’ to enlarge or “Ctrl” and ‘-’ to reduce the page. Use ‘Ctrl’ and ‘0’ to reset the view to standard size. In general, we have tried to use the largest possible font style for important text passages.
2) Texts within images or videos with sound output, audio files.
As far as possible, we do not use images with inserted relevant text, or provide an additional alternative such as a machine-readable PDF or ALT tag. Videos and audio files are optional and should only be seen as an addition.
3) Contrasts / readability
To facilitate readability, the ATEMAG website uses the highest possible contrasts. Some browsers also offer the function of reading texts aloud.
4) Screen resolution
The ATEMAG website is optimised for all resolutions (min. 320 pixel screen format). Exceptions to this are some tables, which cannot be realised otherwise due to the technically necessary form of presentation.
5) Language and language structure
The content and texts are formulated as clearly and precisely as possible so that they are easy to understand. Wherever possible, simple language is used and complicated technical terms are avoided wherever possible.
The following contents of the ATEMAG website are not barrier-free:
1) Links are usually not underlined on the website. Underlining has been omitted for visual reasons.
2) Language and language structure: Unfortunately, it is not possible to completely dispense with technical terms and certain formulations in all areas of the website. ATEMAG is a technical provider and therefore cannot do without the technical terms used in the industry. Sometimes there are binding, e.g. legal requirements, which make the use of such passages and terms necessary.
3) Not all PDF files on the website are completely barrier-free. We are working on constantly improving this in the future.
4) Some tables on the website are not optimised for all resolutions. Especially on smartphones (portrait format and/or small screen width) these are not optimised for display. However, as this content is only optimally informative as a table, we assume that most users will view it on a larger, more suitable end device to capture this specific information, e.g. smartphone in landscape format or on a tablet.
5.) In order to make the website as clearly recognisable as possible, the colours red, dark grey and white were used. An attempt was made to combine the colour values with text modules in such a way that the contrast ratio is as good as possible. In a few places, however, this combination is not quite as rich in contrast as would theoretically be possible (e.g. with a black and white contrast).
This declaration on accessibility was created and checked on 20 March 2025.
