ATEMAG Innovation wins Challengers Award 2012
After three nominations as participant of the final round, ATEMAG finally won the Innovation award of the woodworking association “Challengers Award”. The award recognizes outstanding companies who have distinguished themselves by developing innovative technology in products, services or manufacturing techniques that will advance the industry.
The Challengers Award gets awarded every other year at the exhibition IWF in Atlanta. From around 100 registrations of innovations in the woodworking field, only 20 participants get into the final round. A Jury, consisting of competent users across the industry, appoints after presentations of the innovations 7 winners.
ATEMAG wins the Challengers Award for the heavy duty lock recess milling aggregate EXTRA PLUS, which reduces the processing time significantly.
On the machining center Holz-Her Pro Master, that has been provided by their partner Weinig Holz-Her US, the jury was able to follow the conventional process of cutting out a lock case in a duration of a little longer than a minute. Afterwards, the same process was carried out with the new EXTRA PLUS in only 18 seconds.
This impressive introduction convinced the jury. On the following day, Chairman, Richard Campbell, handed over the trophy to the ATEMAG-executive Matthias Kropf and the sales manager of the American importer Techniks, Greg Webb. “We are proud, that the innovative capacity of the ATEMAG-Team has been honored by this renowned award”, so Matthias Kropf in Atlanta.
